Waiting at the airport in Copenhagen, Denmark. I have been a bit sick for the past few days and want to go home. Clicking my heels 3 times didn’t help 🙂
I rented a car today and drove to Sweden over a bridge that looks similar to the Sunshine SkyWay in Tampa. I saw mostly farms and a few small towns, then took a ferry back to Denmark north of Copenhagen. The leaves are starting to turn color, mostly yellow.
This was taken with my laptop camera… my cell phone doesn’t do selfies any more cuz the glass cracked when if fell out of my pocket. No, that didn’t happen in Amsterdam 🙂
Oktoberfest was actually over when I had a bite to eat at a nice restaurant near my hostel, and had a good time. This is the one of the few shots I got of the traditional Oktoberfest garb.
omg veggie sandwich with hummus, tapenade, cilantro, beet chunks, lettuce, tomato. spicy tomato soup with croutons and a chunk of cheese. on a cool day. nice.
According to the locals, the Anne Frank Museum is always busy. I was lucky enough to get special treatment and had a ticket in hand to go past this line. My hotel scheduled me and I pretty much walked right in!
The exhibit is sobering. It was not uncommon to hear sniffing, a bit of sobbing, and to see dabbing of the eyes. It’s emotional. I was choked up. Anybody who talked, spoke in hushed tones as we made our way through the warehouse office that turned in to a dwelling for 8 people for more than 2years.
